The level of care given at Shardlow is truly second to none. Both of my children attend since moving to the area and having paid for private schooling beforehand I can honestly say the service is faultless. It’s a warm, loving, supportive environment from the start and I wouldn’t change a thing!

Amazing Nursery, staff are amazing and caring. Our son loves going and loves the outside area!! So happy we pick Shardlow Nursery for our son!

This is such a fantastic nursery, my granddaughter goes here and she is taught so many wonderful things such as biscuit making, flower arranging and so many more things, and the staff are brilliant aswell, my granddaughter is so lucky to go to such a wonderful nursery. Well done to you all!

My daughter has just graduated from Shardlow Hall Day Nursery after being full time for the last 2 years. She was previously at another nursery and the difference in care, commitment, experience etc has been significant. I really can’t recommend Shardlow highly enough. The owners are there every day, there is genuine care for the children, high standards throughout and the enrichment the kids get from the animals on site and the events they organise is second to none. It’s clear that they reinvest to maintain the nursery and the staff are wonderful.

I honestly cannot recommend this Nursery more. My little boy has had the best time at Shardlow Day Nursery and truly made some fabulous friends with the children and the staff. The reviews, Ofsted reports and the farm was what attracted me the most to the nursery and I am happy to say I'm glad we sent our little one here! I can honestly say that all my expectations have been completely been blown out of the water and we are all truly sad to have left now that he has started school.

My son has attended Shardlow Hall Day nursery since he was 11 months old. He is now 2 and a half and loves going to nursery. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and caring. I feel that I can approach them if I need to and they listen to what I say. The activities are varied and there is a lot of time spent outdoors exploring. Great if your kid has bags of energy like mine. I’ve seen my son develop so much whilst at nursery and comes home having learnt something new every day. A lovely place to send your child. I’ve never felt worried leaving my child there and their communication is great.

Both of my children have attended Shardlow Hall Nursery since August 2017. From day one we were so impressed by the enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism of Louise and her team. They really do go the extra mile, providing regular fun and educational activities for the children and communicating with parents every step of the way. The wonderful staff are always happy and genuinely enjoy caring for the children. The nursery is in a wonderful rural setting allowing the children to enjoy nature and the outdoors every day. I can’t recommend the nursery enough.

Sending our daughters to Shardlow Hall has been like leaving them in the safe hands of family. The staff go above and beyond at every available opportunity and really strive to fully develop the whole child. It is clearly a very well-managed nursery where the vision and ethos is embedded across the whole curriculum and every member of staff is singing from the same hymn sheet. I would not hesitate to recommend - Shardlow Hall is simply perfect and our daughters could not be happier 😊

Very happy with all of the staff! We can tell how much all the staff enjoy their job and I feel that ___ is really benefitting from going to Nursery. It's a relief to feel that my child is safe and in a nurturing environment. We couldn't recommend Shardlow Nursery enough! Communication from the staff is excellent and the location with all of the fields and animals is definitely a bonus for the kids.

Honestly, you could not find a better Nursery for your children. The staff are incredible. The children have so many wonderful experiences. Such attention to detail is paid by the management to cultivate a lovely rich learning environment and ensure the children feel loved, safe and valued at nursery. One of the things I think is really incredible is the complete consistency across all staff in the way they speak to children. It appears effortless they way they expand children’s vocabulary, model kind and assertive language, take every opportunity to progress their learning, and encourage problem solving to facilitate solutions rather than solving it for them if they can do it themselves. The staff know the children inside out. They really listen to them. The children spend so much time outdoors, doing amazing creative activities and building lovely friendships. There are lots of opportunities to become involved in Nursery life for parents and carers and you become part of a community.
The thing that makes this nursery stand out above any other is the level of genuine care that all the staff will have for your child, they really do care and want the best for them. It can’t be measured but you can feel it and most importantly your child will feel it.

Look no further for an outstanding nursery. Having moved from a big city and settling in Derby we fell in love when we viewed it. We had about 6 to view but Shardlow Hall just felt right and we are glad we made the right decision. Shardlow hall has got a lot to offer for your child from experienced staff, great outdoors to your child having so much fun and learning at the same time. As a parent of a child who needed extra support Shardlow Hall Day Nursery went above and beyond for her. They worked with us a family throughout our journey until the very last day of our daughters day at nursery. The communication, support, variety of things the children do is brilliant. For my daughter they went the extra mile and we are forever grateful. Please do go and have a look and I guarantee you won’t regret it. Shardlow Hall you have been amazing and thank you for everything.

Our daughter has attended Shardlow Hall since we moved house. She started in the pre-school aged 3 1/2 and now attends their before and afterschool clubs. We can't rate the nursery highly enough and have recommended it to other parents if ever asked. The grounds are brilliant and the children get to take advantage of them at every opportunity. The staff are brilliant both in looking after the children, in their additional activities and theme days, to their flexibility to accommodate additional days when required. Right from when we came to look round the pre-school lead took the time to talk to our daughter at eye level and made the look around about her rather than just about us as her parents - she sat down to play and cried when we had to come away and that made the decision for us. My daughter loves it here and we are very happy with our (her!) decision to use this nursery.

My wife and I decided to place our son in the care of the team at Shardlow Hall Day Nursery nearly 4 years ago. This was not an easy decision as our first child had attended a different nursery prior to starting school and at that time Shardlow Hall was just starting up. However, during our visits it was clear that the staff were not just carers but genuinely loved the children, and that, combined with the fantastic setting and grounds convinced us to give Shardlow Hall a chance. Since that decision we haven’t looked back, not a week goes by without the Nursery surprising and delighting us. From the bright, friendly faces who greet us at 7:30 in the morning, to the continued thought and effort which goes into ensuring that the children have a vibrant, engaging and continually evolving environment to be in. My wife and I often speak of how glad we are that we gave them a chance, it really is the perfect place for our son, to grow and develop.
